Helen Clarke DePree

DEPREE, HELEN ALDRICH, of Louisville, died November 13, 2009 at the Episcopal Church Home. Mrs. DePree was born February 7, 1911 in Buffalo, NY to Talcott H. Clarke and Helen Aldrich Clarke. She graduated from the National Cathedral School in Washington, D.C. and attended the Dalcroze School of Music in Geneva, Switzerland. She married Julian F. DePree in New York and in 1952, they moved to Louisville. Mrs. DePree was a member of the Filson Club, The Daughters of the American Revolution and The Colonial Dames. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Mrs. DePree was preceded in death by her husband, Julian F. DePree; her son, Julian F. DePree Jr. and her three sisters. She is survived by her sons, Robert T. DePree of Lake Forest, IL and Spencer A. DePree of Boulder, CO; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
