David Trone

David has been involved in the beer retail business since 1984 and the wine and spirits business since 1991, when he and his brother Robert opened two wine stores in Delaware. The business expanded to many states and Total Wine & More is now the largest independent alcoholic beverage retailer in the country. David graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor’s degree from Furman University, and received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
