John is the principal partner in various partnerships involved in the development of industrial real estate in Southern California, Northern California, Seattle, Washington and Anchorage, Alaska. These partnerships operated from 1972 to 1989 while developing over 16,000,000 sq/ft of industrial space. Mr. O’Donnell is currently responsible for investment strategies, key management decisions as well as investment capital. He also assists in the implementation of building design and construction matters. In 1986, John formed O’Donnell Property Services, the property management entity of The O’Donnell Group that managed and marketed over 26,000,000 square feet of industrial properties throughout California. In 1995, O’Donnell Property Services was sold to Insignia ESG. John O’Donnell continues to serve as a consultant to Insignia. Prior to the formation of The O’Donnell Group, John worked with Coldwell Banker for ten years as a broker and sales manager. He credits his experience at Coldwell Banker for the success he has enjoyed as an independent businessman for the past 28 years. In addition to his professional vocation, John is an honorary trustee and chairman of the International Council of Urban Land Institute, which he served as a trustee for 18 years. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Corporation GEO, a leading social housing developer in Mexico. John has an undergraduate from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the Orange County and Inland Empire NAIOP Chapters as well as a member of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Industrial Office Park Council.
