Paul Davies joined C&M International in May 2006 from the Australian Government, where he was heavily involved in trade negotiations for over 12 years. He was previously Counsellor at the Australian Embassy in Washington from 2003-2006, where he developed negotiating strategies for market access and regulatory harmonisation in the US-Australia FTA and advocated the Agreement to the United States Congress. In Australia, Paul was trade policy adviser to the Australian Minister for Trade, Mark Vaile from 2000-2002, assisting the Minister on WTO issues in the lead-up to the launch of the current Doha Round. Paul has extensive experience in WTO and FTA negotiations in goods, services and agriculture and a broad understanding of the trade policy choices facing policy makers in the current global trade environment. Paul Davies has a Bachelor of Economics with Honours from the University of Sydney and a postgraduate degree in foreign and trade policy from the Australian National University.
