Robert J. Levin is Fannie Mae's executive vice president and chief business officer (CBO), reporting to the president and chief executive officer. As CBO, Levin is responsible for overseeing and integrating the Single-Family Mortgage Business, Mortgage Portfolio Business, Mortgage-Backed Securities Business, and Housing and Community Development. He also has served as the company's interim chief financial officer until January 2006. Levin joined Fannie Mae in 1981, and has held various positions within the corporation including executive vice president of Marketing, senior vice president of Marketing and Mortgage-Backed Securities, and senior vice president for Corporate Finance. Levin has a master of business administration from the University of Chicago with concentrations in finance, accounting, and marketing and was awarded the University of Chicago Executive Program Club Fellowship. He also has a bachelor of arts in economics, with highest honors, from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Levin also sits on the board of trustees at Morehouse College.
