Somsak Chivavibul

Somsak Chivavibul serves as CFO for Navient. He is responsible for directing the company’s finance, accounting, treasury, and investor relations. Previously, Somsak was senior vice president of financial planning for Sallie Mae. During his 20 years with Sallie Mae, Somsak gained deep experience in business and transaction modeling, corporate and portfolio acquisitions, financial analysis, and management reporting. Prior to joining Sallie Mae in 1992, Somsak served as senior accountant at Ernst & Young. Somsak earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting at the University of Maryland and was also a Certified Public Accountant.
