Mr. Chase joined Politicalworks in 2006 after serving in a variety of executive positions in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Chase has served as senior policy advisor and deputy political director for Governor Roy Romer from 1993-1996 where he helped oversee all political and public policy issues affecting the State, accompanied the Governor on statewide and national travel, composed major public policy communications and represented and spoke on behalf of the Governor. In addition, Mr. Chase was the campaign manager for a nationally targeted U.S. Senate race in Colorado where he directed all aspects of the campaign and developed and implemented free and paid-media strategy, including direct mail, radio and television advertising and served as chief media spokesperson. Most recently, Chase served as political communications director for Ed Perlmutter in the 7th Congressional District of Colorado, the top ranked U.S. House race in the United States in 2006. In addition to his public and political background, Mr. Chase was the founder and principal of Chase Strategies, L.L.C., a Colorado-based firm providing consulting services to private sector clients in the areas of government affairs, public relations and community outreach. Mr. Chase has worked as a senior executive within numerous industries including telecommunications, healthcare and high-tech where he helped oversee government relations and public affairs for companies such as the St. Anthony Hospital System, Colorado's largest, faith-based healthcare system and ICG Communications a billion-dollar, Colorado-based telecommunications company. Most recently, Chase helped co-found SmartCare Family Medical Centers, Inc., a company providing affordable access to primary healthcare within retail hosts. Mr. Chase is a native of Colorado and throughout his career he has established an extensive personal and professional network and strong reputation within the political, private and public sectors of the State. Mr. Chase graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts, Communications and Psychology. He is an alumnus of Leadership Denver (Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce) and the Center for Creative Leadership and was named as one of the Denver Business Journal's Forty Under 40. Chase also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children. He is married to Amy H. Chase and together they have three boys, Connor, 9, Cole 6 and Collin 2.
