While never working in newspapers, Levinsohn is a media veteran. He served as interim chief executive of Yahoo at a particularly turbulent time, and before that he was president of Fox Interactive Media, where he oversaw a diverse group of digital properties, including MySpace, Fox Sports and Rotten Tomatoes. He played an integral role in the creation of the online video streaming site, Hulu. He was chief executive of Guggenheim Digital Media, where he managed such assets as the Hollywood Reporter, Billboard and Adweek, before a change in direction there. Most recently he served as co-founder of Whisper Advisors, a boutique He was named CEO of Guggenheim Digital Media (GDM) in January 2013. GDM oversees and operates media assets including the iconic brands of Billboard, Adweek, The Hollywood Reporter, The Film Expo Group and CLIO Awards, and partners with additional Guggenheim controlled assets to further develop their digital media strategies, including Dick Clark Productions. It is part of Guggenheim Partners, a global diversified financial services firm with more than $160 billion assets under management and, owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 2012, Levinsohn served as Interim CEO and Head of Global Media at Yahoo! Prior to being named to that post, he was Executive Vice President of the Americas region for Yahoo! In this role, Levinsohn was responsible for company’s largest Region including oversight of advertising sales, business development, partnerships, marketing and media. Levinsohn has long been on the forefront of digital media innovation. He was the co-founder and managing director of Fuse Capital, an investment and strategic equity management firm focused on investing in and building digital media and communications companies. He previously served as the President of News Corporation's Fox Interactive Media, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations, strategy and acquisitions that helped transformed the company into a leader in digital media. Levinsohn also held senior management positions with AltaVista, an early pioneer and leader in search, CBS Sportsline where he oversaw all content and development for the top rated sports site, and HBO. Levinsohn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The American University.
