Graham Leach: M-Lab The beginnings of M-Lab date back to 2006 when the School of Design of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University established a new applied research and consultancy laboratory to provide the University with a bridge to "real world" projects, best practices, vision and industry leadership that leveraged the expertise of the School. In June 2010 the name of the facility was changed from PlayLab to M-Lab, reflecting and building upon a rich history of leveraging the expertise of more than four years of competing successfully for high-end commercial production work and innovative research, we now specialize in creating new commercial opportunities in the digital entertainment realm. M-Lab closed in 2014.
