​Halev - The Movement to Fight Poverty in Israel (For Law Students only) A Social Movement of volunteers from the legal sector whose aims are justice for all, strengthening mutual responsibility in Israeli society and changing national priorities. The volunteers at Halev work towards making the legal system accessible in order to aid in recognizing and realizing the legal rights in a wide variety of fields. Thousands of volunteers, lawyers and law students, take part in the movement's activities, who assist thousands yearly in coping with the legal system and authorities. The activities take place in dozens of locations throughout the country including community centers, courts, tribunals, labor courts and more, in one of the following fields: execution, rights centers, labor court, general aid, the "Orly and Guy Project", public housing. Throughout its years of activities Halev has received the President's award for Community Service for the year 2002, the exemplary award of the Shderot 2007 Conference for its social action and the exemplary award for social action on behalf of the Israeli Bar Association for the year 2011.
