Investing in America's Workforce: Strengthening Communities, Expanding Opportunity As the economy evolves, the demand for education, skills, and credentials also increases—requiring new ways to build workforce talent and help all Americans secure family-supporting careers. Join us for a one-day summit on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. We will explore the role that workforce stakeholders can play in improving college and career readiness that is equitable and aligned with workforce demand and economic development efforts. The event occurs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (CT). We invite workforce development intermediaries, employers, educators, economic development professionals, and funders to this conversation on how to support and build effective partnerships to connect workers to jobs and economic opportunity. Participation in this event is free; however, registration is required by Thursday, September 5, as space is limited. Speakers will include regional and national experts from the National Skills Coalition, the Graduate! Network, Seeding Success, Urban Strategies, and the Lumina Foundation.
