Billionaire investor Jeffrey Yass is the primary financial backer of Protect Freedom PAC, an independent expenditure-only committee (Super PAC). Founded in 2017 by political associates of U.S. Senator Rand Paul, the PAC supports libertarian-leaning, conservative, and pro-school choice candidates, relying heavily on Yass for the vast majority of its funding. In September and October of 2025, the Protect Freedom PAC donated over $1 Million to Kentucky First PAC supporting Thomas H. Massie.
