Apax Foundation

The Apax Foundation is the channel for Apax Partners’ corporate giving globally and has made donations averaging over £1 million a year since its inception in 2006. Social mobility and social entrepreneurship are the focus for the Apax Foundation's major grant giving; social entrepreneurship is the natural extension of what Apax does commercially and builds on the Firm’s history of support in that area, most notably as one of the founders of Bridges Ventures. It is also an area where some of the Foundation's Trustees have significant experience. This provides us with a steady flow of introductions to leading charities in the field, both from within the firm and from our wider network. The Foundation has also continued its commitment to our staff ‘matching’ scheme and the private equity community’s collective charity, Impetus – The Private Equity Foundation.
