Broad Branch Associates (BBA) is dedicated to improving the lives of poor people in developing countries. With expertise in both the nuts and bolts of applying innovative financing mechanisms in developing countries, and in working at the international policy level, BBA provides technical leadership and rigorous research to develop, implement, and evaluate high impact financing solutions. Whether in health, education or agriculture, translating dollars into results depends on people and the choices they make. In health, individuals must demand services; health workers must be motivated to deliver these services; and the institutions they work for must be willing to make the systemic changes required to achieve health goals. Our team is at the forefront of results-based financing thinking and action at the global, regional, and country levels. We provide strategic technical support to international financial institutions, donor organizations, national governments, and international non-profits to design, implement, and evaluate innovative financing schemes; and strive to develop new mechanisms for improving the impact of financing for health and in other sectors. We also focus on establishing systems for program learning and implementation research, to ensure credibility of results and enhance transparency and accountability.
