Duke Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is one of 22 departments in the Duke University School of Medicine. The Department is a leader in psychiatric and psychological healthcare, research and education. Since its inception in 1943, the Department has set its focus on understanding the brain and mind. In understanding these better, we are able to help those suffering from mental illness and improve patient mental health.
