MBM is a large food service distributor with 30 distribution centers located throughout the U.S. J.R. Wordsworth started the company in 1947 as distributor to retail food stores. His sons and daughter bought the business in 1976, phased out the retail operations and began a customized food distribution business that focuses on national restaurant chains.
