Independence Care System

Independence, your way. A nonprofit, community-based agency, Independence Care System is at its core a community of people—our members, providers of care, staff and friends—who share a common vision and beliefs: that senior adults and people with disabilities or chronic conditions can often take the lead in planning and managing their own health care and social supports; require a service system that blends social supports and health care services; and have unique needs and preferences that must be recognized and addressed. To that end, ICS pioneered the development of a Care System that coordinates a wide range of home care, health care and social services to enable senior adults and people with disabilities or chronic conditions to live as independently as possible—a Care System designed to be responsive, coordinated, expert, empowering, respectful and flexible. How We Help. Today, ICS offers two distinct plans: ICS Community Care MLTC, our traditional Medicaid managed long-term care plan, and ICS Community Care Plus FIDA-MMP, our new plan for those eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.
