Amy is a partner in the Corporate & Securities Group in the Washington, D.C., office. She advises clients on the effect of federal and state energy regulation on utility industry transactions, and on the development, management, and operation of generating facilities, with an emphasis on renewable energy projects. Amy has also acted as special energy regulatory counsel for numerous clients on financings, refinancings, and acquisitions totaling more than $16 billion in value. In addition, Amy advises a number of independent power producers (IPPs), including industrial companies with generation, on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) compliance and market design issues, and advises power marketers on FERC compliance issues.
