Brian Olson graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1988 with a BS in Mathematics and Computing. From 1988 until 1995 he worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley & Co. From 1995 until 1998, Mr. Olson was an investment analyst at Tiger Management. In 1999, he co-founded Viking Global Investors, a hedge fund which currently manages over $10 billion of capital from individual and institutional investors from around the world. Mr. Olson was with Viking until the fall of 2005. Since then he has devoted his time to various philanthropic and personal endeavors. Mr. Olson is the chairman of Civic Builders, a not-for-profit company which constructs schools in New York City and makes those schools available for use by charter schools at affordable rents. He is chairman of the board of Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now (ConnCAN), an advocacy group who mission is to ensure that every child in Connecticut, regardless of race, ethnicity, or family circumstance, receives a world-class K-12 education. Mr. Olson and his wife, Jill, live in Greenwich, Connecticut with their two sons.
