Amir Nashat

Nashat joined Polaris in April 2002 and represents the firm as a director on the boards of Athenix, Hydra Biosciences, Promedior, T2 Biosystems, WaveRx and Pervasis Therapeutics, Inc., where he also served as founding President. He also supports Polaris investments in GI Dynamics and BIND Therapeutics. Nashat earned both his M.S. and B.S. in Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his Ph.D. as a Hertz Fellow in Chemical Engineering at MIT with a minor in Biology under the guidance of Dr. Robert Langer. While at MIT, Nashat also completed an internship in the London office of Goldman, Sachs & Company
