Famous Dave's of America opened its first Famous Dave’s restaurant in Minneapolis in June 1995. The firm now owns, operates and franchises restaurants from its Minnetonka, Minnesota headquarters The firm also operates restaurants under the names Granite City, Village Inn, Bakers Square,Clark Crew, and Real Urban.. In March 2022 it announced it had acquired the Bariio Queen chain located in Phoenix Arizona.
