Dr. Brown has been a director of the Company since May 2001. She has been the President of the Fashion Institute of Technology and Chief Executive Officer of the Educational Foundation for the Fashion Industries since 1998. From 1983 to 1992, Dr. Brown served as Vice Chancellor, as well as the University Dean, of the City University of New York and Acting President of Baruch College. From 1993 to 1994, she served as the Deputy Mayor of Public and Community Affairs for the City of New York. From 1994 to 1998, Dr. Brown was a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York, where she is now Professor Emerita.
