William P. Leahy is vice president – Atlantic Region, AT&T Services, Inc. The Atlantic Region comprises thirteen states, from Maine to Virginia, as well as the District of Columbia. Mr. Leahy has responsibility for all legislative, regulatory, governmental and external affairs activities in the region - a region critical to AT&T’s national and international footprint. Mr. Leahy has over 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry, beginning his career as a management trainee with New England Telephone. He’s held various positions at AT&T companies in financial analysis, marketing, and government affairs management. Bill is a trustee of Merrimack College and also serves on the board of directors of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, the New England Council, the Massachusetts Network Communications Council, Associated Industries of Massachusetts, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education. Bill holds a BA/ Presidential Scholar in Mathematics from Merrimack College and a MBA from UMass-Amherst. Bill was also a Senior Lecturer of Mathematics at Boston University for over 20 years.
