JAN ROCK ZUBROW (AB '77 Cornell; MBA '81 Harvard) is founder and president of MedCapital, LLC, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage health and life sciences companies. MedCapital's portfolio consists of companies that manufacture medical devices, produce diagnostic and therapeutic products, and deliver health information services. Prior to starting MedCapital in 1998, Ms. Zubrow was a vice president at Johnson & Johnson and was responsible for J&J's Women's Health franchise. Ms. Zubrow has been named among Cornell's Foremost Benefactors. In 2001, she endowed the position of head coach of softball. Previously, she established the Jan and Barry Zubrow Scholarship fund and provided a lead gift to the PCCW Leadership Fund. In addition to her Cornell activities, Ms. Zubrow is a trustee of the Far Hills Country Day School and a member of the Dean's Board of Advisors at the Harvard Business School.
