Rupert Keeley is the group president of the Asia Pacific and CEMEA regions for Visa Inc., with responsibility for leading Visa’s business across these regions. Rupert is also responsible for Visa’s global processing business and Visa Inc’s relationship with Visa Europe. Previously, he was the global head of strategy and corporate development from September 2008 to July 2009, setting Visa Inc.’s global corporate strategy and leading strategic merger and acquisition activity. Keeley also served as president of the Asia Pacific region from May 2000 to September 2008, responsible for leading Visa’s businesses in 36 countries. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president of finance, administration and marketing for Visa International from Visa’s global headquarters in California. Before joining Visa International in February 1999, Keeley held a number of senior management positions with Standard Chartered plc based in London, Singapore and the Middle East, including as group head of marketing and planning for the bank’s global consumer business, chief executive of Bahrain and gulf head of consumer banking. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, he worked for Girobank plc in London. Keeley holds an MBA from the City University Business School in London and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester, England.
