Linda Bean

Linda Bean is president of Linda Bean’s Perfect Maine, LLC. A successful entrepreneur, she founded one of the largest Maine lobster empires and has worked as a real estate broker and a newspaper editor and publisher. She is the ancestral daughter of five Mayflower Pilgrims, and her grandfather founded L.L. Bean, Inc., with a $500 loan. More than a century later, L.L. Bean is a billion-dollar business that is still owned by the Bean family. Ms. Bean is a prominent Maine political activist, and she ran as a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in 1988 and 1992. She is a graduate of Antioch college.
