Mr. Anthony K. Anderson, also known as Tony, served as Vice Chairperson and Managing Partner of Midwest Area at Ernst & Young LLP from July 2006 to April 2012. Mr. Anderson served as Ernst & Young Managing Partner for the Pacific Southwest area since July 2000 and he led the implementation of several initiatives to develop Ernst & Young professionals, improve client satisfaction, enhance quality service, and achieve double-digit revenue growth. A 30-year veteran of Ernst & Young Mr. Anderson started his career in Chicago focusing on serving audit clients in the insurance and financial services industries. He was named a Partner in 1989 and relocated to Los Angeles in 1996 to oversee the Pacific Southwest area's Financial Services and Insurance practice. Throughout his career Mr. Anderson has been recognized for his active involvement in the Ernst's mentoring and diversity programs. He is a member of Ernst & Young's Ethnicity Diversity Task Force, which is charged with fostering an inclusive culture and implementing action-oriented goals to help minority professionals with career development and leadership skills. He serves as a Director of World Business Chicago. Mr. Anderson is also a Mmber of Ernst & Young's governing body, the Americas Executive Board and serves as its Director. He has been a Director of First American Financial Corporation since November 13, 2012, Exelon Corporation and Exelon Infrastructure Ltd since January 29, 2013. He has been a Director at Avery Dennison Corporation since December 6, 2012. He served as a Director of Federal Reserve Bank Of Chicago Inc. An active civic leader, Anderson was Chairman of Town Hall Los Angeles and the Children's Bureau of Southern California, and was the incoming chair of the California Science Center. He has been a Director of AAR Corp., since October 10, 2012. He also served on the boards of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, and on the corporate advisory board of the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. Mr. Anderson is a Member of the American, California, and Illinois Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Black Accountants. He received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Chicago State University.
