Fred Castellucci

Fred started working in the kitchen of his father's restaurant at 13 years old. Fred went on to study hospitality at Cornell University and graduated in 2007. He then rejoined the family business, taking over Sugo in Johns Creek. His younger sister, Stephanie, also attended Cornell’s school of hospitality and took over Fred’s role at Sugo after graduating—allowing Fred to develop more CHG concepts. He opened the Iberian Pig in Decatur (2009), Double Zero in Sandy Springs (2011), and Cooks & Soldiers on the Westside (2014). Bar Mercado, Recess, and the Iberian Pig Buckhead followed. Today, Fred leads CHG as the company’s president and CEO while Stephanie serves as vice president, also running the company’s Krog Street Market concepts Recess and Bar Mercado. Their younger brother, John, currently serves as executive chef for Iberian Pig Buckhead. Mr. C and his wife, Nancy, run Sugo in Johns Creek. Fred’s wife, Lauren, is director of sales and marketing.
