Matthew Jacobs

Matt Jacobs joined CalPERS as its general counsel in 2014. Before that, he was a partner at DLA Piper, a global law firm, and worked for the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Sacramento. At CalPERS, he is responsible for strategic direction and oversight of the Legal Office, the Office of Audit Services and the Equal Employment Opportunity Program.
