Joe Negron is a native Floridian, born in West Palm Beach, and is currently a Republican candidate for the Florida Senate, District 28. Joe served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2000 to 2006, the last two years as Chairman of the Appropriations Committee. Joe is an attorney with the statewide law firm of Akerman Senterfitt. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Martin County Chapter of the American Red Cross and presently is Chairman of the Safe Florida Foundation. Joe has an undergraduate degree from Stetson University, a law degree from Emory University and a masters degree in public administration from Harvard University. Joe and his wife Rebecca live in Stuart and have three children.
