Lydia Kives

Lydia Gray is a Stanford fellow at the ACLU of Southern California. Lydia's work focuses on criminal justice and First Amendment issues. Before her fellowship, Lydia clerked for the Honorable Raymond C. Fisher of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and for the Honorable John A. Kronstadt of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Lydia graduated from Stanford Law School, where she served as Senior Editor on the Stanford Law Review. Lydia was also a member of Stanford's Supreme Court Litigation Clinic and Three Strikes Project. During summers in law school, Lydia worked at the Office of the White House Counsel and in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. Before law school, Lydia worked with Teach For America in Baltimore, Maryland. She taught English and Social Studies to middle school students. Lydia holds a Master of Science degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Pennsylvania State University.
