Cindy Kent is a healthcare veteran with 20+ years in the industry. She is currently the President & General Manager for the Drug Delivery Systems Division of 3M—a $30B diversified technology company known worldwide for its innovation. Cindy is a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Conference and sits on the Health Care Business Group’s senior leadership team. Prior to joining 3M in October 2013, Cindy was the Vice President and General Manger of the Gastro/Urology Therapies business unit for Medtronic. There she had P&L responsibility for the half-billion dollar global franchise and led one of the fastest growing and most profitable product lines in the company’s portfolio. Cindy is a 2007 German Marshall Fellow. In 2008 was recognized by the Twin Cities Business Journal as a "Top 40 under Forty” and received one of the Society of Women Engineers highest honors as the Suzanne Jenniches Upward Mobility Award recipient in 2013. That year, she was also named as a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin and River Valleys —in recognition of her professional excellence, ethical leadership, community contributions as well as for being a role model for women and girls. She is a sought after mentor and public speaker. Cindy sits on the Metropolitan Economic Development Association's (MEDA) Board of Directors, and until recently, was the fund development chair. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, The Links as well as the Executive Leadership Council. Cindy holds an MBA in Marketing as well as a Master of Divinity, both from Vanderbilt University. In addition, she has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and is an ordained minister. Cindy is a member of the 2013 Class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.
