Shannon Skokos, a former Miss Arkansas and motivational speaker, is an attorney, author, photographer and philanthropist residing in Dallas, Texas. Throughout her endeavors, she has fervently sought to improve the lives of others through education and faith in God. Shannon and her husband Ted founded The Ted and Shannon Skokos Foundation, which awards grants to public charities that positively impact society by, among other things, advancing education, the arts, science and religion. Shannon serves on the board of The Ted and Shannon Skokos Foundation, Baylor Health Care System Foundation, AT&T Performing Arts Center, Dallas Theater Center, Dallas Opera, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Brinker International Forum, Texas Women for the Arts Cultural Trust, Service Learning Adventures in North Texas "SLANT 45", Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant and UALR William H. Bowen School of Law Dean's Council. She is also a member of the Junior League of Dallas and Park Cities Baptist Church. Having received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Arkansas and her Juris Doctorate from the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law, Shannon is a loyal fan of her alumni team, the Arkansas Razorbacks, and is an avid Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Stars fan.
