Kohler Co., Inc.

Headquartered in Kohler, Wisconsin, John Michael Kohler founded this company in 1873 when he purchased the Sheboygan Union Iron and Steel Foundry. The firm originally produced cast iron and steel implements for farmers, castings for furniture factories and ornamental iron pieces. Today Kohler manufactures and markets bath and kitchen products, engines and power generation systems, furniture and accessories, and cabinetry and tile. Additionally, Kohler operates two luxury golf and recreation resorts, Destination Kohler and Destination St. Andrews, and owns other real estate holdings.
