Richard N. Bernstein

Richard N. Bernstein is one of the OLPC Association's Directors, and its legal counsel. As an attorney he and his firm, Greenberg Traurig, focus on corporate finance, including debt and equity, strategic and venture capital financings; mergers and acquisitions; distribution, licensing and technology transfer transactions; joint ventures; strategic partner transactions; and general corporate matters. Richard represents companies at all stages of development, with industry experience in defense, homeland security, software, Internet, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, aviation, and textiles. He also counsels private and public companies in matters including formation, financing, intellectual property, and strategic alliances. He has managed mergers and acquisition transactions and technology licensing in the U.S., Israel, Poland, the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay. He and Greenberg Traurig are generously offering their time to OLPC on a pro bono basis.
