Notes | Cuomo appointed Westchester County businessman and longtime Democratic insider William Mulrow as his new secretary to the governor. Mulrow most recently was senior managing director at the Blackstone Group, the world's largest alternative asset manager. Mulrow, who had close ties to Cuomo and former Gov. Eliot Spitzer, will replace Larry Schwartz as Cuomo’s most important aide. Schwartz is departing for the private sector. |
