In implementing the new functions of Convergence, the IDB’ s project management platform, the role of the focal point is key because of the close, personalized, and permanent assistance the focal point can provide to address the specific needs of project teams throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Holders of this digital badge have demonstrated their ability to train and guide their colleagues in the use of the new financial transaction functions in Convergence. These skills were acquired through training and orientation sessions in the countries of the region and at the IDB headquarters in Washington DC, within the framework of the Operations Learning Program (OLP) offered by the Inter-American Institute for Economic and Social Development (INDES) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
