They are gamified, digital interventions that draw from principles of neuroscience, psychology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), persuasive computing and behavioral economics to provide safe and low-risk mechanisms for dynamic neuro-behavioral-physiological modulation. remapadman.jpg DR. REMA PADMAN Dr. Padman is leading the research on Digital Vaccines, a sub-category of digital therapeutics, to promote healthier lifestyle choices. She is the Trustees Professor of Management Science and Healthcare Informatics at Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. She is an elected Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). She is also the Thrust Leader of Healthcare Informatics Research at iLab and Research Area Director for Operations and Informatics at the Center for Health Analytics at the Heinz College, and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She received a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, a PhD in Operations Research from the University of Texas at Austin. She also did the National Library of Medicine Senior Fellowship in Applied Informatics from The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
