Robert F. Sherman Ph.D. serves as Director, Initiative for Social and Emotional Learning at NoVo Foundation which he joined in 2010 after leading Mercy Corps' Action Center to End World Hunger. Sherman was a pioneer funder in the field of social and emotional learning while directing the Effective Citizenry program at the Surdna Foundation. His background also includes extensive government service: as Executive Director of a division of the Mayor's office in NYC, the Increase the Peace Volunteer Corps; and as Director of the Community Relations Institute, NYC Commission on Human Rights. |
