Notes Ryan has deep experience working with NGOs across their strategic, operational, and technology challenges. Most recently, Ryan served as the first Director of Foundation and Corporate Engagement at Catholic Relief Services (CRS) while on a two-year secondment from Accenture. Ryan led the development and implementation of CRS’s agency-level corporate engagement strategy, design and mobilization of cross-sector partnerships, field capacity building, and information management and communications. He oversaw a team responsible for institutional relationship management with the agency’s 21 largest foundation donors, and also led the agency’s entrance into impact investing. Ryan’s work at CRS covered a spectrum of interaction that included philanthropy, cross-sector partnership, shared value creation, and social impact investment in support of agriculture, health, emergency response, education, and water-related programming. These efforts sought to advance CRS’s work to assist the poor and vulnerable overseas; and help to achieve program impact, innovation, scale, and sustainability beyond what any one organization could achieve on its own.
