Lead San Mateo County collective impact initiative in collaboration with San Mateo County Office of Education and San Mateo County to transform the trajectory of low income children’s lives through evidence-based early learning and family programs.
• Work with seven communities from South San Francisco to Pescadero to East Palo Alto in the implementation of the four pillars of The Big Lift – high quality preschool, summer learning, attendance messaging and family engagement for more than 2,000 children each year.
• Manage budget of $8 million dollars, including federal, county, foundation and individual donor streams.
• Represent SVCF and speak for The Big Lift at public meetings such as early learning forums, Big Lift collaborative functions and school board meetings.
• Support SVCF leaders in fundraising by touring individual donors at Big Lift sites and creating events to showcase the communities and programs of The Big Lift.
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with San Mateo County leaders including Superintendents, non profit executives and San Mateo County elected officials while also supporting teachers and remaining grounded in the communities themselves.
• Support rigorous external evaluation, along with continuous process improvement of The Big Lift in partnership with SMCOE and the RAND Corporation.
• Collaborate with SVCF Center for Early Learning colleagues on building preschool facilities, developmental screenings for children, preschool through third grade alignment and early learning policy work.
