Manage a Washington, DC based staff member focused on federal advocacy and policy. • Develop state level strategies on behalf of the various units of KnowledgeWorks with key states, state leaders, and partners including state departments of education, Governor’s offices and key partners providing connections and alignment between key state initiatives and the work of KnowledgeWorks and subsidiaries. • Develop federal policy and state policy agendas to expand the thought leadership of KnowledgeWorks but also increase the visibility, growth, and sustainability of KnowledgeWorks and subsidiaries • Create a federal and state advocacy strategy and tactics to move KnowledgeWorks’ policy agendas and position KnowledgeWorks and subsidiaries as leaders in the education field. • Develop and manage relationships with new and potential partners (state agencies, associations, corporations, foundations, etc) to create demand for KnowledgeWorks and its subsidiaries and internal KnowledgeWorks divisions. • Develop an overall relationship management strategy and an cultivation as well as the accompanying technology to track relationship and partnership work in real time.
