Edward J. Borkowski is Mylan's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, a position he has held since March 2002. Prior to joining Mylan, Borkowski was Vice President, Global Finance and Information Technology, for the Consumer Healthcare Division of Pharmacia Corporation. He joined Pharmacia in 1999 as Assistant Vice President, North American Finance and Administration. At Pharmacia, Borkowski was a member of the senior management team driving the company's growth and acquisition strategy. He also established and built the Consumer Healthcare Division's global finance group, which provided streamlined business reporting to the senior leadership team. From 1992 to 1999, Borkowski served in a variety of finance positions at American Home Products, rising to the level of Comptroller for the Cyanamid Agricultural Products Division. His responsibilities at American Home Products included SEC reporting, accounting policy, banking relationships and financial modeling of M&A activities. Borkowski is a certified public accountant who began his career with Arthur Andersen. He worked primarily in its pharmaceutical practice for nearly 10 years where he served as the engagement manager for Merck & Co. Borkowski is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs. Borkowski received his bachelor's degree in economics and political science from Allegheny College and earned his MBA in finance and accounting from Rutgers University.
