Mr. Saviers has been retired since August 1998. He served as Chairman of the Board of Adaptec, Inc., a provider of high-performance input/output products, from August 1997 to August 1998, President and Chief Executive Officer of Adaptec from July 1995 to August 1998, and President and Chief Operating Officer of Adaptec from August 1992 to July 1995. Prior to joining Adaptec, Mr. Saviers was employed with Digital Equipment Corporation, a computer manufacturer, for more than five years, last serving as Vice President of its Personal Computer and Peripherals Operation.
