With more than a decade of professional experience on all sides of the public affairs spectrum, operations in the music industry and a lifetime in the government arena, Mica joins the team with an uncanny ability to make things happen. As a native Floridian and veteran of Washington, DC, her combination of media and entertainment experience and extensive political and corporate backgrounds give her a unique perspective. In 2003, D'Anne founded Mica Strategic Communications, a full service public affairs firm, serving an array of clients from major corporations and national coalitions to local non-profits. In 2007, D'Anne co-founded a sister firm, grasshopper media, and, in 2009, expanded grasshopper media operations to Nashville where she concentrated on management and publicity for rising country artists. Prior to founding Mica Strategic Communications Mica worked as a news producer and assignment editor at WKMG-TV 6 - the CBS affiliate in Orlando, Florida. Mica also managed a cross-country public relations tour for one of the country's leading tourist destinations, SeaWorld of Florida. During her first tour in Washington, DC, Mica held positions that include Deputy Director of the Majority Fund at the Republican National Committee and Special Consultant to US Airways for the sponsorship of the 2000 Republican National Convention in Philadelphia. Mica also pioneered special projects in the US Airways Sales and Marketing department. Born and raised in Winter Park, Florida, Mica earned a Bachelor's of Science in Communications from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
