Angela McMillen is a Washington, D.C. consultant with more than 13 years of experience in fundraising, sponsorship and development for non-profits and political campaigns. She has an impressive track record working with associations, organizations, candidates and elected officials to achieve their goals. Prior to founding Tusk, Angela was the executive director of the American Association of Political Consultants in Washington, D.C. Her experience hosting national AAPC conferences, seminars and networking events provides GOP Convention Strategies clients' the level of sophistication, dedication to perfection and creative flair they need to maximize their image and budget. In the bellwether state of Ohio, Angela served as the executive director of the Ohio Republican Party of Summit County - raising money for local candidates, building grassroots support and hosting the largest Lincoln Day dinner in the United States. She also provided campaign guidance to the Ohio House Republican Campaign Committee; congressional, judicial and mayoral candidates; and several local school levee campaigns. Angela served as a grant writer and fundraiser for the Good Samaritan Hunger Center and 3 private schools, hosting fundraising galas and creative, memorable events for her clients. She also served as the communications director for the County Treasurer's Office in Medina, Ohio and was an adjunct professor of marketing at the University of Akron. Today, Angela's early experience as an accounting professional with Ernst & Young and the REAT Corporation give her a distinct advantage with event management. Her accounting background provides a strong foundation for raising money, managing budgets and maximizing ROI for her clients. Angela holds a Masters of Applied Politics from the University of Akron and a Bachelors of Accounting from Youngstown State University.
