After serving four terms in the Oregon House, Lorentz "Scott" Bruun decided it was time for a promotion in 2010.
Bruun (pronounced "brew-in") challenged incumbent Democratic Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.) for the chance to represent Oregon's 5th district, which comprises some Portland suburbs. Despite a nice try, he ultimately lost by five percetage points, 45 to 51 percent.
