PETER B. DERVAN, Ph.D. has been a member of the faculty at the California Institute of Technology since 1973 where he is currently Bren Professor of Chemistry in the Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. He serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of Gilead Sciences and the Robert A. Welch Foundation. Dr. Dervan is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Philosophical Society, and the Institute of Medicine.
