Leslie's technology career spans a number of industries plus academia. Leslie was the founding CEO of VERITAS Software; joined the Board of Directors of VERITAS Software in May 1988; and became the chairman, president, and CEO when VERITAS was restarted as a software company in 1990. Leslie currently serves on the boards of Avaya Corporation (NYSE: AV) and a number of privately held high-technology corporations, including MetricStream Corporation, Model N Software, Outerbay Technologies Corporation, Panta Systems, PostX Corporation, and Scalix Corporation, and is on the boards of nonprofit organizations Community Foundation of Silicon Valley, Leslie Family Foundation, and VERITAS Software Foundation. Leslie is also a lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business and Stanford University Graduate Engineering. Leslie received a bachelor of arts degree in physics and mathematics from New York University in 1966 and completed Harvard Business School's program for management development in 1980.
