Edith L. Shapira, M.D., is a psychiatrist in private practice since 1991. Dr. Shapira is active in a variety of endeavors in community service and health care. She is the former Co-Chair of the Riverlife Task Force and continues to serve on its Executive Committee. She serves on the Boards of Directors of The Pittsburgh Promise, the Sports and Exhibition Authority, the Urban League of Pittsburgh and the Board of Visitors of the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. Ms. Shapiro chairs the board of directors of the Pittsburgh Foundation.
